The Work

As a core member of the Facilities Management team, you will ensure the precinct’s critical plumbing infrastructure, drainage, gas, and hydraulic systems remain fully operational and compliant across clinical and campus assets.

  • Facility Maintenance & Breakdown Response: Conduct reactive repairs, diagnostic fault-finding, and preventative maintenance across complex hospital plumbing networks.

  • Hydraulics & Assets: Service, repair, and maintain hot and cold water delivery systems, thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs), backflow prevention devices, pumps, sanitary drainage, and trade waste infrastructure.

  • Safety & Hazard Management: Execute daily task risk assessments while adhering to strict environmental, healthcare compliance, and WHS guidelines.

What You Need

We are tracking for a safety-conscious, trade-qualified Plumber with solid experience maintaining commercial or institutional building assets.

  • Trade Qualification: Cert III in Plumbing (or equivalent trade qualification).

  • Bonus Endorsements: Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) and Backflow Prevention endorsements are highly regarded!

  • Safety Tickets: Current Construction Industry White Card.

  • Pre-Employment Compliance: Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and meet standard hospital Vaccination Personnel Compliance (VPD) requirements.

  • Rights: Full Australian Working Rights.
